What is the
Career Placement Center?
The Career Placement Center of the
Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD serves students and teachers in our district and
businesses in the Dallas area. All services are free-of-charge.
STUDENTS: The CPC provides
school-to-work transition services for our graduates, students who have attended a
school in the C-FB ISD, and students currently enrolled in our District. Using
resources such a computer programs, books, videos, handouts and individual counselor
appointments. See more about our

TEACHERS: The CPC provides
additional support for the career guidance programs that exist in the secondary
schools. Teachers have access to career-related videos, books, field trips, and
speakers.
BUSINESSES:
The CPC will provide any business in the Dallas area the opportunity to connect with
our students and adults who have attend our schools, list employment opportunities,
and give input regarding their education and employment needs. Check out the

Relationship of Career
Placement Center to C-FB ISD Career Guidance Programs:
The CPC is a support arm of the overall guidance programs that exist in our high
schools. The goals of these career guidance programs are to:

Develop a four-year
comprehensive high school plan for each student, with a career path focus/career
plan that includes post-secondary training and education opportunities.

Provide all students the same
career guidance services.
|
|
Provide teachers with relevant
materials and information to assist them in presenting current occupational
information in their classrooms to enable students to understand the connection
between the classroom and the real world.
